With the recent death of Alexander McQueen, I have been thinking about what a profound influence fashion has had on me and my creative process as well as the impact it has had on other very famous artist. I personally am greatly inspired by designers and models alike. Street fashion has also played a critical roll in my artistic and personal style. Today i would like to share some people and designers who inspired me.

Gemma Ward has been a constant inspiration in fashion and in art. She is beautiful with an exotic quality to her face. Something ethereal about her has captivated me for some time now.
Betsey Johnson is a designer who's use of color and fun fashion sense has always arrested my attention.
Heatherette is another designer I love. Fun use of color and eccentric party kid style designs are what it's all about! These designs are almost completely un-wearable in real life, but boy do they inspire some creative trains of thought.
Then there is Alexander McQueen. Genius is the only word to use. Creative. Unique. A complete visual orgasm! RIP. You will be missed.
And so ends my visual exploration into what and who I find inspiring in the fashion world. Please expect to see more of this fashion edge to my art in the future.
Alexandra
